His Presence

"The hills are alive with the sound of music!" Although we don't have a hill around our house I know creation is crying out in praise to God. What a glorious spring day~! I believe creation praises God each and every day; it's just that some days I don't notice. Other days are a different story.

Have you ever felt God kiss your face in the gentle breeze? Seen his handiwork in the glorious sunset? Have you heard and felt His comforting presence in the patter of the rain? Witnessed His awesome majesty in the peals of thunder and flashes of lightning against the dark sky?

What an awesome God~! Isn't it incredible that He cares for you and me??

Five of my greatest blessings~!

Psalm 127:3
Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a real blessing.

green weeds

Ever since we have lived in our house we haven't had much grass. The weeds grow abundantly though and are really nice and green this time of year. We have several large sweetgum trees in the front yard, but no grass. We have thrown out grass seed to no avail. Our neighbor gave me some type of ground cover a couple of years ago. She said you couldn't kill it....just stick in the ground and keep it watered. I killed it.

Lots of our neighbors have lawn services do their lawns. They have grass and it always look so nice. Of course, I think anyone who has grass has the greatest lawn there is.

One year we had someone give us an estimate for soil, edging, etc. We decided we would rather eat than have a nice yard. I have joked that our money is in our kids' mouths. Orthodontics is expensive and we are on the last kid~! Maybe it's because I was always so self conscious of my teeth, but it has been so important to me for our children to be able to have braces. Now I am on to teeth instead of grass. It's a zigzag path, but the two do relate. And sometime down the road I intend to have much green grass with fewer weeds~!

Moment by Moment

We have been learning how we are free from the sin and the law if we belong to Christ. Our pastor made a statement that I have thought about often:

"You are not a sinner because you sin,
You sin because you are a sinner."

We need Jesus to cleanse us from our sin, but once He does we are free from it. Most of us have some trouble with that because we still fall short and mess up. That is where faith comes in. Are we going to believe fact or feelings? What do we base our facts on? Experiences, what someone tells us, or the Word of God?

The Bible says in Romans 6:14, "For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace."

I'm so tired of living a defeated Christian life. I am choosing to believe what God says about me.
At least for the moment. And isn't that what life is made of? My day will progress moment by moment and what I choose to believe during each of these "moments" is entirely up to me~!

blogging in hindi

I have a blog with nothing to say. However I did learn that I can blog in Hindi. I'm sure that will come in handy sometime soon.

I read other's blogs and they are so interesting. I guess that's why I've been slow to start one. In fact I have had this for a few weeks now and am just now getting around to saying something.
If I had a way with words like Bethany I would be set to go. Maybe I can get her to write my posts for me~!

My thought for today is how tremendously blessed I am. I have an awesome God who sent His only son Jesus, that I have might have an abundant life....not only in heaven, but today........right this moment~! I have a wonderful husband who loves me dearly, wonderful children, a fantastic church and pastor, wonderful friends, a lovely home, and hundreds of "possessions" that make life so much easier for me. True riches cannot be bought.
